Coordination Meeting with the International
Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA)
The 19th Coordination Meeting between ABACC and the IAEA was held in Vienna
on March 29 and 30, 2005. Both agencies performed a review of the situation
concerning the application of safeguards in the framework of the Quadripartite
Agreement. Also, information was exchanged with regard to the inspection
activities scheduled for the next six months, the most operational issues
were agreed upon, an analysis was made of the requirements for updates and
purchase of new measurement and surveillance equipment, and ideas were exchanged
regarding inspection procedures, safeguards approaches and common use procedures
in the process of being implemented.
