Annual Meeting of the INMM
The Institute of Nuclear Material Management (INMM) is an organization
devoted to promote, study and spread topics related to the application and
development of safeguards. On July 10 through 14 2005, the INMM held its
46th annual meeting, in which ABACC officials presented the papers “Information
Protection When Applying Safeguards to Centrifuge Enrichment Facilities”
and “Development of Capability to Separate and Measure Uranium
and Plutonium Jointly Present in Low-Level Environmental Samples at Brazilian
and Argentine Laboratories Working for ABACC”. Additionally,
meetings were held with the US Department of Energy (DOE) in which the projects
underway were discussed. In this occasion, the Secretary of the ABACC undersigned
a project (Action Sheet 14) related to cooperation in non-destructive analyses
and systems for measuring enrichment.
